Ghanaian Movie Star Commits Suicide In California

Sam Sarpong, a Ghanaian actor, has committed suicide in Pasadena, Southern California.

The British-born actor was reported to have jumped from a bridge and died upon impact with the ground.
 Los Angeles County Coroner’s office said the case was being investigated as a possible suicide but the cause of death would not be determined till the results of a toxicology test are released.
Sam Sarpong  moved to the US and made a succesful career as catwalk model, working for Tommy Hilfiger, Gucci and Versace becoming Louis Vuitton’s first black male model.
According to Pasadena police, Sarpong jumped from the Colorado Street Bridge, after seven hours of being convinced against killing himself.
His death is being investigated by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, as a possible suicide.
The late actor has featured in popular TV shows, which include: “Bones”, “Boston Public” and “Yo Momma.”
