Jonathan Not Bigger Than Nigeria:Arrest Him NOW- Senator Counsels Buhari

Erstwhile member of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Board of Trustees, Senator Joseph Waku,  has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to arrest former Nigeria President, Goodluck Jonathan.

Senator Waku while speaking in an interview with Saturday Sun said, ''can Dasuki do anything on his own without the consent and approval of the president and the commander-in-chief?”

According to the Senator, Jonathan is not bigger than Nigeria and won't be the first former President to be investigated over corrupt acts that happened in his tenure.

 "We should be able to draw a line between sentimentalism and patriotism. To me, asking Jonathan to speak out or being quizzed is an act of patriotism. Asking that he should be left alone is sentimentalism.”


Waku also voiced his disappointment with the people Sambo Dasuki mentioned as beneficiaries of the loot. He stated that people such as Tanko Yakas Sai, Tony Anenih, Haliru Bello and others who are supposed to be role models.

 “It is very shocking and disgraceful, most especially when you look at the caliber of people involved. He said.

It would be recalled that ex-President Goodluck Jonathan was in the helm of affairs during the arms deal fraud that led to the arrest of  then National Security Adviser (NSA) Sambo Dasuki and others  involved in the shady deal but till date, Goodluck Jonathan hasn't been questioned about his role despite calls by many Nigerians

CHAN 2016: Nigeria Super Eagles Held by Tunisia

The home based Super Eagles of Nigeria failed to defeat the Carthage Eagles team of Tunisia today as they both settled for a 1-1 draw.

Chisom Chikatara opened the score sheet for the Nigerian team in the 52nd minute of the game(his fourth of the tournament) after a brilliant set up by Osas Okoro but the Tunisians responded in the 70th minute with a goal from Ahmed Akaichi.
