The National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),Olisa Metuh was on Tuesday humbled by officials of Nigerian
Prison Service as he was brought to the Federal High Court, Abuja by in handcuffs amid tight security.
According to a report by Sahara Reporters, Metuh, who was sent to Kuje Prison by the Federal high court last week was in court to push argument for the written bail application which the court directed him to file
The court equally asked the prosecution counsel to respond to the application accordingly.
The PDP Spokesman's fate will be decided today as to whether the court grants him bail or sends him back to Kuje prison custody over allegations that he defrauded the Nigerian state of N400 million.
It would be recalled that Metuh is being tried on a 7-count charge of corruption and money laundering and accused of collecting 400 Million Naira from the arms procurement fund and diverting it to the PDP campaign,an allegation he has so far denied and is standing trial for.
