Nigeria's President,Muhammadu Buhari,Tuesday ordered the mass retirement of permanent secretaries.
The president held a meeting with the permanent secretaries in his office at the Presidential Villa few minutes ago and in attendance were the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari and the Head of Civil Service of the Federation.
No fewer than 17 of the permanent secretaries are being affected by the latest development.
This is coming ahead of the swearing-in of the ministers-designate slated for Wednesday.
The Permanent secretaries were led to the closed door meeting by the acting head of service, winifred Oyo-Ita.
They have also been retired from civil service with immediate effect.
