Court Rescues Dasuki,Orders DSS To Release Him

The Department of state services ,DSS ,has been ordered to allow Ex- National security adviser,Retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki to travel abroad for medical treatment.

A Federal High court in Abuja,Friday, gave the order in recognition of the erstwhile NSA's plea for the enforcement of its earlier judgment of November 3 that he could travel out of the country for three weeks to seek medical attention for his ailment
Dasuki, who has been placed under house arrest by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), asked the court for a mandatory order compelling government and its agents, especially DSS, to vacate his house in Asokoro with immediate effect.
Giving its verdict, the high court sitting headed by Justice Ademola Adeniyi, demanded that Sambo
must be allowed to travel without delay.
“Court order must be obeyed. What is wrong in the defendant travelling and coming back to face trial?" Justice Ademola asked.
“Only a fit person can stand for trial and investigation. My own orders will not be flouted.” He said.
