Senators Boycott Saraki's Facebook Training


The 109 Senators expected to attend the  Facebook training organised by the office of the Senate President,Bukola Saraki refused to show up for the event held at the Senate conference Hall 301.


The workshop which was organised for the senators and their aides was aimed at strengthening their use of Facebook and Social media for effective communication on issues relating to Public Policy and Good Governance 

The Fact Times observed that only a few of the aides of the Senators showed up for the Facebook training, majority of them from Saraki's office . 
 Not more tha 30 of of the 500 senators' aides were present  at the commencement of the programme. 

Speaking at the workshop, the head of politics and governance outreach of Facebook, Elizabeth tutored those who were in attendance on facebook live broadcast and how to operate Facebook page.

The Chief of Staff to Saraki , Senator Isa Galaudu had in a statement last Thursday said the training was in line with the promise of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki to bring about,  a more representative legislature through the use of technology and e- parliamentary tools.

The Senate President,Bukola Saraki also told Nigerians through a media interaction that the programme is free of charge and not an avenue to embezzle money.
