Saraki's Absence Causes Confusion,Senators Defy Ekweremadu

Two senators of the All Progressives Congress Senators, Ahmed Lawan and George Akume, staged a walk out during plenary session at the Senate today.

The pair along with their colleagues vacated the Red Chamber over the fact that Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu presided over plenary session, in the absence of Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
Saraki was unable to preside over today's session has he had gone to witness the inauguration of President Buhari’s ministers.
The idea of a Peoples Democratic Party Senator presiding over an APC-controlled Senate wasn't pleasing to members of the ruling party, hence their response.
Minutes to the walk-out, Lawan and other APC Senators reportedly discussed briefly in a cluster, after which they headed to their offices.
