Release Our Members Or Prepare For Trouble: MASSOB Threatens Nigerian Army

The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign state of Biafra (MASSOB) has given the Nigerian military a deadline 48 hours to release its detained members.

Tony Nwodo, the regional administrator for Nnewi South Local government area, Onitsha gave this ultimatum on behalf of the group.

Speaking further, Nwodo threatened that Anambra state would be shut down in 48 hours if the supposedly apprehended men are not released by the Army.
He gave the men’s names as Eugene Odoh, Friday Nwoye, Sunday Amaechi, Chuma Okonkwo and Ebuka Okolo.
He also claimed that Eugene was arrested in his shop located at 2, Awka Road Onitsha and his money was also stolen.
"They stormed his shop with six Hilux and a Sienna bus,N50,000 was missing and up till now,his whereabouts and that of four others are unknown" He reported.
Nwodo also claimed that the victims commited no offence to warrant their unlawful detention.”
The pro-Biafra leader warned that MASSOB would show the military its strength if the men are not released within the specified period.
“We will not take this if they are not released after 48 hours, we will show the military the stuff we are made of even if we are a nonviolent body fighting to actualize a sovereign state of Biafra.” He said.
