Charles Taylor's Death: Uk Govt. Denies Rumour

•Charles Taylor, not dead says UK government
Former Liberia President and jailed war criminal, Charles Taylor is not dead,the Uk Government announced. This is contrary to rumours of his death circulating on social media, the UK’s Ministry of Justice told the British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC.

Taylor, 67, is currently serving a 50-year prison sentence in the UK following his conviction by a UN-backed court in 2012 for crimes against humanity and also for backing rebels in Sierra Leone during the 1991-2002 civil war.  It also led to the second Liberian war of 1999-2003.
His unpopularity as President and widespread pressure led to his resignation in 2003 after which he went to Nigeria on exile. 
On 17 March 2006, Ellen Jonson Sirleaf who was newly appointed President submitted an official request to Nigeria demanding his extradition to stand trial .
 He arrived in the Uk on 17 october 2013 where he has continued to serve the remainder of his 50 year sentence. He is reported to father 14 Children.
