A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Monday, granted erstwhile National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, a former Minister of State for Finance, Bashir Yuguda, a former director of finance at the office of the NSA, Shuaibu Salisu; a former Sokoto State Governor, Attahiru Bafarawa; his son, Sagir Attahiru, and two firms Dalhatu Investment Limited and Jabbam Ada Global Services, bail in the suit filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), accusing them of criminal breach of trust and of obtaining stolen property.
Stating the court's ruling,Justice Peter Affen, granted bail to Dasuki and others in the sum of N250m with two sureties in like sum.
One of the sureties that each of the accused persons must produce, will also have to tender title documents of N250m worth of property which the court ordered must be valued by a registered estate valuer.
The Judge also said the Surety must be a serving or retired civil servant and not below the rank of a director.
Among other conditions, the accused persons are expected to deposit their passport with the court.
The Court fixed February 2 and 3 for commencement of their trial and the accused are to be remanded in Kuje Prison pending when they meet their bail application requirements.
