Bayelsa 2015 Update:Sylva, Dickson Await Fates As INEC Sets Time For Final Collation

Anxiety has taken over the race for the Bayelsa governorship position as the Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC has shifted the time for the final collation of results and announcement of the eventual winner of the election.


The electoral body has fixed 10;00 a.m,Monday morning as time for collation of other results. At present, 5 local government elections have been announced and they are:

Having presided over the collation and announcement of results, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar and Returning Officer, Prof Zana Akpagu, told newsmen and observers to reconvene by 10am on Monday for the release of the remaining results in the remaining  three local government areas.
Dickson  currently leads with margin of 25,415 votes, but the aftermath of the expected results  of Southern Ijaw, Nembe and Ogbia LGAs will determine who will emerge as the number one citizen of Bayelsa state.
