The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, has adjourned the trial of erstwhile National Security Agency (NSA), boss, Sambo Dasuki to January 20, 2016.
Justice Adeniyi Ademola, on Tuesday, suspended the case after consultations with counsels of the plaintiff and the defendant. YNaija reports.
Dasuki is facing trial over alleged diversion of $2.1billion arms procurement contract under the Goodluck Jonathan regime.
The Department of State Services (DSS) arrested Dasuki last Monday after a three-week siege on his Abuja residence before being transferred to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for interrogation.
The trial is speculated to be in line with the Presidency's vow to press to logical conclusion to prove to Nigerians that the public treasury was looted by top Nigerians under the guise of procuring arms and ammunition to tackle corruption.
The Dasuki saga has also implicated some top Nigerian Citizens who are accused of having a hand in the shady arms procurement deal worth billions of dollars.
